Don’t invite anyone who will not be invited to the wedding reception. It will be embarrassing if you don’t invite them to the wedding. The engagement party is a more intimate affair than your wedding reception, and it’s nice to keep it as small as possible.

It is not necessary to invite your workmates and old friends who have lost touch with! Make it a family only party, or you can have two engagement parties, one with your family and one with your best friends.

What are important information for the invitation cards:
Bride’s and groom’s names(first name is needed)
Details of venue
Party date and time
Parents’ name( sometimes need)

Generally speaking, engagement invitations only include what you’d like your friends to know. You don’t need write the wedding date on the engagement invitations. Because you haven’t nailed down your wedding date, and the wedding details will be included in the save the date cards and wedding invitations.
